Things I need are:
Removable Keyboard... like a real one. None of this touch key crap.
Windows 8.1
Microsoft Office

I would jump on the Surface Pro 3. But it's out of my price range at $1000.

What are your recommendations?

Asus Transformer Book T100 or Acer Aspire Switch 10

 

The Aspire Switch 11 is more expensive but has a full Core i-series chip rather then a Bay Trail chip found in the Switch 10, if you feel you need the extra performance. However for just using Microsoft Office (which all three of these tablets come with) a Bay Trail chip is plenty.

Guys, Surface Pro 2 is $900, and OP already said that is too expensive.

What is the main use of the tablet going to be for? If it's only for productivity use, as most mindful people would do with a ~10" tablet, again the Asus T100 and Acer Aspire Switch 10 are great choices.

If you'd like a bit more performance, then the Acer Aspire Switch 11 offers slightly less performance then a Surface Pro, for a significantly lower cost.
