Inventor 2015

Go to solution Solved by Arty,

Probably some left over files and/or registry entries, try going to "My Computer" and in the top right corner search for "Inventor 2015" or "Inventor" and then if you find any files, delete them.

And you can try using CCleaner to get rid of the left over registry entries

https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Download it form their website, so that you don't get anything like bloatware from CNet on it. Download the Professional trial so that it downloads from their website, and not the Filehippo site. :)

Hope this helps.

(To use the registry cleaner click on the registry block after it is installed, and the program opened.)

I decided to give the ms repair tool another try, it worked

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.
