This phone is advertised as water proof yet when it (lets just say) 'fell' in the pool repeatedly the touch screen and some of the buttons stopped working, the touchscreen is spazzing out it opens programs takes screen shots and is doing pretty much every gesture on the touch screen it can simultaneously.  I fixed like the iphone 5 and ipad 3rd gen. so I took the battery out after shutting down and im trying to let it dry. what I really want to know is if this has happened before or if any one knows a fix.

If you're lucky, it's just wet and you really need to dry it out and it will work fine. If you're not, something is already broken and so it will not work or partially work, even after you dry it out.

I would suggest leaving it to dry in a hot, dry space for about a week and then see the results.

make sure its completely dry. people had a problem with headphones saying they are in/acting like headphones are pressing buttons because there was water in the headphone jack

I took out the battery so the components wont fry or anything, we are going to let it dry for a few days :)
