Frozen Laptop

I have a Lenovo g500s touch, and some games just freeze on it. Out runs some games fine, but other games, even less intensity ones, just make it freeze. Help? Midway through certain scenes, it just... Stops. :|

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

Are U using the GTX 720M?

Yup. As a matter of fact, just fixed that. Discovered everything was running integrated, so I ran through the settings and set it as default. The first thing I check, every time it freezes, is weather out not it used the 720. It does.

Than maybe it's the cpu'or Hdd's fault, do what you can but it's just the system is not powerful enough

the weird thing is, it's powerful enough to run games bigger than the one that keeps crashing.

If it helps, Minecraft ruins fine but sid Meier's civilization beyond earth and wizard 101 do very poorly.
