Which adblock to get?

Go to solution Solved by TheKDub,

I use this one: https://getadblock.com/

It works great.

I've always tried to avoid adblocker because when you block ads the creator of whatever you're viewing doesn't get paid..

But I realized you can whitelist websites to not block ads.

So I was looking around, and there's an adblock and adblock plus. Which one should I get?

Thanks in advance!

Both :D

Is there one that's better than the other?

Ad Block Plus has been bought out, Taboola, Micro$oft, Amazon and Google payed them to whitelist their ads, so most of the stuff it blocked, it won't anymore.

I'd suggest this: OpenSource and can block a lot more than ABP. Logan uses it too afaik.

https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock

It also actually speeds up page loading as the ads are not just blocked, but also not loaded.

Aaaaand it doesn't need over 9000 TB of ram, as ABP does.

Ya, it usually takes a few weeks / months until such stuff actually takes place.

And well, the reason you see imgur ads, is because you lack the proper block list for it, or you have "Allow non-intrusive ads" turned on I guess.

But uBlock actually surprised me, pages load faster, and even chrome uses less RAM than before. It's really nice, can only recommend it.
