  1. No, only Z97 boards can overclock

If  you are just gaming, a 4690K is reccomended

Hello guys i want to ask you if the MSI B85 g43 Gaming can overclock the Core i5 4690K to 4.2/4.4 GHz?

and is there a big diffrence between Core i5 4690K and the 4670k in Gaming? if not so i will save some money to add to another part of my build

Thanks :)

Nope, no overclocking that I'm aware of but people have managed to find very complicated ways around it... but I wouldn't reccomend that.

The difference between the 4670 and 4690 is a better thermal interface material between the processor's heatsinc (grey case) and the actual cores within the heatsync. So the only difference is better temps.

4790k @ 4.6 (1.25 adaptive) // 2x GTX 970 stock clocks/voltage // Dominator Platnium 4x4 16G //Maximus Formula VII // WD Black1TB + 128GB 850 PRO // RM1000 // NZXT H440 // Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 (MX Blue) // Corsair M95 + Steelseries QCK // Razer Adaro DJ // AOC I2757FH
