Hello,

Which one would you guys recommend between a drobo and a nas? I was leaning towards the drobo for some reason.

It would mostly be for photo back up and storage

Thanks

I liked the Drobo FileSystem till... well in short it eats drives like I have never seen a NAS do in a long time. Not sure what the cause is but now the Drobo is on a shelf sitting there un-powered and with no drives, all the drives that were in that thing have either died or have enough bad sectors that they are considered dead. Again, I like the theory of the Drobo and the Drobo I'm talking about is the original 4 Drive Bay version with USB/Firewire as the interface.  Just what I have seen.

Hopefully the new ones are much better?

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
