I need a new PC to edit with because my laptop just isn't that good but I'm on a tight budget and I'm not very good with GPU's. I don't know which ones are good. I play League of Legends mostly so that's really all I need it for. I've put a parts list together but change parts to make it as cheap but good as possible. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/davidharris941/saved/wv3j4D

A few suggestions:

  1. You don't need a CPU cooler. You are getting a locked processor that can't OC; this means Intel's stock cooler will handle it just fine. Spend those 50 bucks into something else..
  2. I've heard that the v300 ssd is bad. I don't know, but I've heard it's the worse SSD you can get.
  3. I don't trust that PSU. I'm sorry. It might be a very good one, but I me myself don't trust it. Besides, you can get this one instead: higher wattage, better certification (80+ Bronze) and costs less. How's that not a better deal?

Last, I could advise getting an AMD card. You said you do video editing: it may, or may not make use of CUDA, depending on the programs you use. Still, you can get a 280 for cheaper, or go ballz to the wallz with a 219$ R9 290 (after mail in rebate). You'd just need to change your PSU to a 500W ones, but EVGA has one Bronze 500w for 41,99$, so that's not an issue.

A same speed & timings 1x8GB memory kit is not the same as a 2x4GB kit. Go with Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory to take advantage of dual channel memory performance and slightly lower cost.

There really isn't a need for an after market cpu cooler. But if you do want one, I would suggest something like the Hyper 212 EVO or Noctua NH-U12. Both are excellent and will run quieter than the H60 at similar loads.

The Barracuda ES only has 32MB cache. Spend a bit more and get the Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive. The larger cache does make a performance difference.

You may want to consider a less expensive case. Fractal Design FD-CA-CORE-3500-BL-W, or Corsair 230T Windowed-BLUE perhaps.

If the budget allows I would suggest getting a modular psu. You might also consider a larger ssd.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

He might want that 2x 8GB of RAM config. for a later date:

I hate rebates =/
