Say them that you will bring lawyer. Selling product with fake specifications is illegal.

It isn't fake specifications... there is 4GB on the 970. It's not exactly the nicest way to get around it, but they didn't do anything illegal.

Not to be that guy, but this might be the worst English ever.

It took me a while to read that.

I am not talking about ram. ROP count and L2 cache size is different so yes its fake.

I have yet to see an original spec sheet for this GPU that was released before RAMGate that had L2 cache listed. Maybe that's just me, but if someone can

show me where the L2 cache was listed on these, I might buy in. *shrug*

Why are you returning it? If it's about the VRAM thing then that's not a defect.

So... you do realize you're gonna lose money if you send it back right?

You won't be refunded VAT.

Well you're not going to get a refund for it though because it's not a defect.

If some company made a USB stick with 8GB but only 7GB was fast and the other 1GB was slow, it's still 8GB. Not a defect, but a scam nonetheless.

I edited my comment with link

Fair enough. But really? Get a lawyer? He would lose. Companies like NV have legal teams beyond what you can imagine... you'd spend so much to do it it would be worth nothing.

In fact, I'm sure NV is already getting lawyers ready for some class-action suit just in case. While a crappy result, it's not that serious, guys.

Well if company is going to return it only for defect then a performance issue does not count as a defect. The card isn't broken.
