Problem with sudden black screen...

Hello everyone...

so lately I have been having problems with my computer. I built this computer about 1.5 years ago and everything worked fine. About 3 months ago I started having problems, the computer would just shut down when I was playing any intensive games. This would happen ones or twice per month, but now it happens 2 or 3 times per day. As an example, when I play Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes at 720p with mid to low settings I can play for 20 or 30 minutes before it suddenly turns off. If I play at 1080p with mid to high settings I can only play for about 3 minutes. Sometimes as soon as I open a game, the system shuts down. After it shuts down I cannot turn it on for about 5 or 10 minutes, after that everything runs fine until I open a game. If I play for example, GTA San Andreas, everything runs normal but as soon as I open something more demanding the problem presents itself. In addition, there is a buzzing sound when it turns off. I tried uninstalling the drivers and installing old drivers but the problem is the same. I have run independent memory and graphics card test and everything seems to be fine.

My guess is that there might be something wrong with the power supply, but I have no idea how I can test it out. I bought a power supply from a relatively unknown brand. It is DNS, which is the name of a technology store chain here in Russia. The power supply had a 80 plus Bronze certification….

My system:

MoBo: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. F2A75-D3H

Graphics card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 Windforce OC

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 750K

RAM: XMS3 — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit

Could be a PSU problem.

If it is still under warranty, get a replacement.

But don't get any PSUs from Unknown or baddd brand. Just buy reliable PSUs like SuperFlower, Seasonic, EVGA, Corsair.
