Hi! My GPU temps were on load around 65 celsius. I wanted to get it down about 5 celsius so I downloaded MSI Afterburner. I made some adjustments with the fan speed. When i clicked apply the temps were amazing idel was around 35 with 45% fan speed and the noise wasnt that bad eighter. But when i loaded up planetside 2 the problem began. My gpu temp got from 35 to 80-83 in less than a minute. I heard my fan going from 45% to 100% but nothing happened. By the time I closed the game temp was at 84 celsius. Some people suggested me to just uninstall the program and it will go back to normal. But it didnt. I didnt click on that windows button to start my settings on boot up eighter.

Reinstall Afterburner, set the fan curve to manual, then set the fan curve back to automatic. This should solve your problem. IF this doesn't, try reinstalling your GPU drivers completely.

You said you heard your fan go to 100%. That was probably the other fan(s)

Set a fan curve in Afterburner so that the fan speeds up with temperature.

I did set it up like that. But even when it shows its 100% fan speed it just stays at 80-83 celsius.

I made a screen shot of my fan settings. http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/rvvahterCATFU/media/Untitled_zpsdx7fpynr.png.html?filters[user]=142478750&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0

I think i got it to work some how. I Set priority to temp and downd it to 70 celcius. Yeah its going to hit my gpu max power but mine never goes to max. And now I have 70-71 celcius. Yeah its +10 what i wanted but idel is like 10 to 15 celcius cooler.
