H220 compatibility

Does anybody know for sure if a h220 will fit in the top of HAF 922.

Do you have the case? The easiest way is to grab a ruler and see how much clearance you have before the motherboard heatsinks of the RAM.

 

Judging by the fact you can fit a H100i (with some modding apparently) in it; the H220 is only 2mm thicker so it should fit.
