Gaming CPU/GPU Upgrade

I have some problem too, i want upgrade my processor and VGA.

My motherboard ECS A780LM-M2  it said on the box that support socket AM3

my current processor AMD Athlon II x2 240 processor 2.8 

my current VGA ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series

Please tell me best processor and VGA for this motherboard

Ok....thats alot, which of all of those processors are geared towards gaming?

 

The phenom II's are good processors, but may struggle in some newer games.

 

 

to be completely honest, you'll end up spending a couple hundred bucks trying to find a second hand Phenom chip.  I would say just find a more modern motherboard and CPU.
