GOOD RAM Memory

Go to solution Solved by DavePC,

Hey guys I'm looking for some ''killer'' ram for the 69-89 euros pricepoint.

So far I've seen these two :

http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B004TGFWCW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2AEWZ68B7P4J7

http://www.amazon.fr/G-Skill-M%C3%A9moire-RAM-9-9-9-24-2N-F3-12800CL/dp/B004I763AW/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1372174569&sr=1-1&keywords=g+skill+2x+4go

Unfortunatly I have no idea how latency works (The '' 9-10-9-28'' thingy) and what '' PC3-12800'' means

I'm looking for a dual channel kit (2 x4gb) to use on my Maximus V Formula Motherboard.

If you need other info for better compatibilty/optimization feel free to ask me !

Thanks a lot for your help and knowledge :D

I would say get the RIpjaws X, as it is a bit cheaper, and really RAM speeds, CAS, and voltages don't matter.

However, if you plan on video editing on the long run I would recommend picking up 16GB, as that really helps with the video edit.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Keep in mind that there may be heatsink cooler interference with the RAM.

Quantity > Anything else when it comes to RAM for a gamer/normal consumer. Anything else, CL, speed, etc, mean nothing unless you are doing some very specific types of work.

What I suggest: Kingston Anniversary - 78 Euros

It looks nice. It's cheap. It has 2133 speed (even though that's pointless, it's cool).

It being 1x8GB means you can upgrade later.

I would get the Ripjaws X because it is cheaper and ram speeds don't really matter if you use a discrete gpu imo.
