My birthday is coming up, so i am planning to get a mechanical keyboard :D . I tried some mechanical switches at my local computer store, and came to the conclusion that mx blues feel the best for me. I have my eye on a cooler master quickfire tk with blue switches. I am wondering if anyone else on the forums has the same keyboard. If so, what is your opinion on it, or would you recommend it?

Yes I have the blue Quickfire TK and have had it for about half a year now. It is an excellent keyboard, not going to name the benefits of mechanical keys as that's just general about all mechanical keyboards but, I can say that this keyboard, after all this time still feels very solid and after a quick clean is like new. The build quality of it is extremely high and nothing seems to affect it.

I will however say that the 10 key less design takes a bit of getting used to since I use the " * " a lot when correcting mistyped words and the arrows for selecting things, and you have to switch between the two using numlock, but after you get used to it it's a very fast process and I don't mind it at all.

I have a TK too but with Reds so I can't comment on the switches. I can say that the build quality of it is pretty damn good and feels pretty rugged. I also agree with the barteks post about the numpad. It just takes a little while to get used to but after a week or so it has become much easier and isn't a problem at all now.

Quickfire TK has the numpad.

It does have numpad/arrowkeys combined. It's a nice way of getting around the Tenkeyless design of other keyboards but as I stated earlier, it takes a little while to get used to switching between them using the numlock key.

Picked up the keyboard today. I am very satisfied with the feel. The build quality is also great. The LEDs are a great touch that makes this keyboard a great value for under 99 dollars(in canada).
