Is this how you do it?

I'm going to write a step by step process on how I'm going to do my build so can you guys help me check if I'm doing anything wrong or in the wrong order. thanks ^^

 

I'm using the BitFenix Comrade case ,the asrock H81m-hds and fsp arum s 500w psi if it matters.

1. Place motherboard on top of motherboard box
2. Ground myself my metal PC casing
3. Install the CPU onto MB
4. Install the CPU fan onto MB
5. Install the RAM on MB
6. Put my HDD and SSD into case
7. Put my PSU into case
8. Put the shield thingy for my IO
9. Put MB into case
10. Put GPU onto MB
11. Put WiFi Card onto MB
12. Connect all the cables and stuff to my PSU and MB
13. Close back the case and connect to monitor to try and start my PC
14. Done?

Any other tips or stuff I should take note of before,after or during the building my PC?

That's how you do it. You might want to plug in your PSU (but don't turn it on) and touch it every 5 or so minutes or before picking up a new part.

Welcome to theforums and pc building, seem to be more or less it, in a broad sense. It can depend of you hard ware if you want tips and ticks. Lots of good youtube videos

ok thanks. just wondering, the only difference in FSP aurum s 500w 80+ gold and Corsair cx 500m 80+ bronze is non modular vs modular right? What does the gold and bronze mean?

The 80plus certification stands fir is efficiency. So how much of the power the psu takes from the wall will actually be given to the components instead of being lost as for example heat. The order is: 80+,80+bronze,80+silver,80+gold and as best 80+ platinum.

As for between the FSP and the corsair, id get the corsair. Thats simply cuz i never heard of FSP. Now if FSP is a reputable brand where you live and you dont need modular cables, that coulf change things
