I am looking for a new keyboard, I am a developer so will be doing a lot of coding as well as some light gaming. I want a backlit keyboard that is wireless but comes with a cable so it can be wired when it needs charging. What do you think of the Logitech k800, i like all the features besides its low profile. Can anyone recommended some better options. I am open to suggestions whether they are keyboard mouse combos or not.

Thanks

If you are gaming and programming I would strongly suggest getting a mechanical keyboard yes I know they are expensive but they are a dream to type on they come in all kinds of different flavours, big small with lights. and different switches.

WASD has keyboards have a detachable cable and able to customize any keycap you want at their website. I guess the keycap colors could act as a permanent backlit keyboard although you would have to get different keycaps after your purchase if you wanted to change your colors. It is still not wireless though.

WASD owns CODE and code has backlit mechanical keyboards that have a detachable usb although they are still not wireless. But, the code keyboard comes in only Cherry MX Clears or Cherry MX Greens.

Edit: I guess if you cant find both a mechanical keyboard that is both wireless or backlit, you might have to sacrifice 1 or the other. But, yea. There are mech keyboards that have wireless too.
