I will admit it, I have a mac from 2011 right now and I would like to get into PC gaming. My budget is 1,200$ USD. I am dead set on the FX-8350 so don't tell me I need a 4690k. Also I need everything for a computer (I don't have a mouse, monitor, keyboard, ect). Tell me if I am missing anything. Heres the link http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JqdxNG

++++EDIT++++

I found a combo for the 8350 and the r9 290 that makes it 1$ under budget check it here; http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3HRz99

Nothing wrong with Mac's.

The part list looks perfect to me, nothing i'd personally add.

The one thing I would say is maybe get a GTX 970 rather than 280x.

Maybe get a 1TB HDD as it is better value per GB.

Also don't bother buying separate thermal paste as it comes pre- applied.

Yep, that system does not require anything else.

I am just curious, what made you dead set on the FX series?

Many of my friends have it and they highly recommend it also PC games will start to use more cores in the future. Even though 8350 has 8 cores, it is really only 4 because it doesn't have hyperthreading. But that really matter to me because it is 60$ cheaper than a 4690k which is the cheapest quad core intel cpu. 4 core w/ hyperthreading or 8 cores w/out it doesnt seem like it would make to much of a difference.

Yes I would have though that investing in such a high end Mobo is a waste since the 8350 is top of the line despite not performing great compared to Intel alternatives.

We all have our preferences though.

But do remember that AMD cores are not nearly as powerful as Intel cores.

True however the 8350 will bottleneck future cards quite badly, and it's the top AM3+ CPU so investing in an expensive motherboard might not be worth it.

Either way you have a great part list right there so build it and enjoy the performance!

Buy a WD Blue 1TB its actually cheaper than a 500GB. Im not sure why its that price on Newegg, way too much for what its worth.

A few suggestions to improve performance and bring the price down a touch.

A better and more expensive motherboard. It will allow better overclocking.

A 1TB hdd because it is barely more expensive than a 500GB unit.

A Fractal Design Core 2500 case. Good quality, low price.

A much better, modular, and less expensive psu.

Got rid of the bling.
