Hello

I just bought a new system (5930k, Asus X99-E WS, 32gb) with both a Quadro K2200 (1st PCIE, DisplayPort to 27" Dell 1440p, for 3D modeling viewports) and Inno3D GTX 980 (3rd PCIE, DVI to 22" Samsung 1080p, for RT Cuda rendering). I use it mostly for 3D content creation, so my primary card is the Quadro, but every once and a while i would like to play games on the GTX, but i can't find a setting or cable combination to seamlessly make her the main driver. Tried all (most) settings in the Nvidia control panel, nothing works... The only thing that does work is manually disabling the Quadro in the Device Manager and every time re-setting the resolution, position... of the monitors, and convince each individual game in it's own special way to run on the Dell + the whole system doesn't seam to like ignoring the primary card and causes various smaller issues everywhere else.
I mean the Quadro runs games, Wolfenstein, Bioshock almost hit 30FPS, but its struggling, the 980 reaches frame locks without breaking a sweat :)
Any thoughts?

Its simpler to disable it the Device manager then pulling it out every time i wanna play a game :)

There are individual functions (AA, FXAA, Stereo...) in the Nvidia control panel, Manage 3D settings that u can set, usually on/off/app controlled but i can't find an option to assign a whole GPU to a program (CUDA calculation yes, but it doesn't affect games). If u can point me to a specific setting?

Well howdy neighbor, I'm from Slovenia, funny we meet in Canada ;)

Yes that worked, there is also an option to right click the game icon and Show OpenGL on.

Ironically i know this from laptops, switching between Intel and dedicated graphic. Took me ages to find that as well xD

Been playing with these settings, but didn't get satisfying results, even now they are weird, attaching screenshot,

the Quadro is still pretty active, but it looks like the GTX is doing all the heavy lifting.

But it's under 60FPS, unlike if i completely disable Quadro, maybe it's the level...

Thank you!

Singel display performance doesn't do much...

I play on Dell U2713HM 1440p - DisplayPort - Quadro

Secondary Samsung 22' 1080 - DVI - GTX

Yes if i completely disable the Quadro in the Device Manager it's at 0% load, the Nvidia Manage 3D settings can't achieve that.

The option Optimize for sparse texture performance can only be set to Quadro

Threaded optimization (multi GPU) is off...
