Ipad as 3rd display?

Is there anyway I can use my Ipad as a 3rd display for free? I want to use it for things like spotify or just stuff i don't wanna tab out of game for when i wanna change or do something. Maybe for like LoL Nexus when playing league things like that. I know there are apps like Idisplay out but thats a $10 app and since im giving this ipad back to my school at the end of the year I don't want to spend the money on somethign i wont use again since I won't by an IDevice, well maybe a Mac if i stop gaming

Emm I haven't heard of anything like this, would be pretty cool. But i don't think there is an option for it to be connected.

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure you'd have to disassemble the ipad and use a direct interconnect to the panel.

I think AirDisplay is free, it's not the best experience either way, laggy since the data stream goes through wifi.

I don't know of any free apps that can do this. There is iDisplay, as you mentioned, and Twomon, both of which are paid
