This is how it went down. My computer was running really hot. took the cpu cooler apart. put it on again. I somehow put it on wrong the first time so it didng have 100% touch to the cpu. I turned it on worked normally with a tempature of 25 celsius idle and 52 highest when 100% loaded. I figured.. why not overclock the beast?! right?. I went to the bios. put the badass at 5.2 ghz because i thought. that would be it!

turned it on and it never booted.. If i turn it on and leave it it just tries and boot up and eventually it will shutdown and start again. it keeps doing that if i dont hold down the power button. What do i do about this?

TLDR. cpu cooler was put on wrong. Put it on right. overclocked it to 5.2 ghz and i wouldnt boot. now it loops and wont boot.

picture is the screen that shows all the time and wont go any further than that. If i spam "delete" it will just say "entering setup" and wont do anything. loops again after that.

Please help!

It looks like it's failing to apply the overclock, unplug the computer, take the battery out of the motherboard, and then hold down the power button for about 30 seconds, then try booting the system back up again with the battery in it.

Insert your storage medium that has your windows installation on it

That's a little hard since i do not have an cd/dvd drive in my computer anymore and i only have windows 8 disc

clear CMOS, there should be a button at the rear of your mainboard

make sure the PC is off and disconnected. click it a couple times, then reconnect and try to boot.

Did you overvolt it? I mean OCing to 5.2 ghz without an overvolt would cause instability and that's exactly what you are facing right now, just go into the BIOS,remove the OC and maybe watch some tutorials on how to OC on your particular CPU to get a basic idea of how much voltage you need to put through it.Keep in mind no 2 CPUs will OC the same,EVEN IF THEY ARE THE SAME MODEL.

If it won't get into the BIOS, it doesn't appear to be anything needing a windows installation disc, it'll be the overclocking not applying correctly, it's a careful thing to get the clock speed that high, it's best to keep it at stock, with a minimal overclock.

while I agree that 5.2GHz on a 3770k with an AiO is insane, keeping it minimal is dumb. You might aswell buy a non-K version then.

i used to have it at like 3.7 og 3.9. which was fine for a TX3 cooler. but now when i have gotten a watercooler and idle was 25 celsius and 52 was 100%load. i wanted to overclock it and i saw potential in that.

and btw i cannot find that thing on how to clear the bios. i have taken a picture but i cant upload it xD

water =/= LN2. go up in small steps. if you can do 52 at 3.9GHz (what voltage?) then you can jump to 4.2 and start from there. But make sure you increase the voltage only slightly.

Anywho, i can hardly see anything on your picture. Images on the web arent very telling either. look for CLRMOS somewhere

Here is an ASRock board for reference of what to look for.

I did find it! and thanks so much for your help i really appreciate it!

Is there a thread i can find some help to overclock? i really want the full potential from it and since its allright tempature, i think, there's some good potential in it
