hey guys I am planning a build next week and it contains the following parts:

I5 3570K         or     I5 4670K

standard z77 or z87 board from gigabyte (from around 100-150 euro)

XFX 7870

Samsung 840 ssd 120 GB

WD black 1TB

CM hyper212 EVO

My question is can i get away with like a 450-500 WATT psu or do i need to look for a 600+ PSU?

thanks!

I5-8600K - GTX 1080 - 16GB RAM - 1.5TB SSD

I want everything pink

500/550w will be more than enough. But keep in mind that it will be enough only if you're going for a single gpu setup, so if you're planning to crossfire later, you will have to change your psu

I7 4770K - @4.5Ghz  |  Be quiet Dark Rock Pro 3  | Asus Maximus VII Ranger Z97  | Kingston Genesis 8GB | Be quiet Power Zone 750w   | Sapphire R9 Fury X |  Sandisk SSD 120Go + WD Green 1TB 7200 rpm | Nzxt Phantom 410

+1. A two GPU configuration would only need about a 650-750W PSU.

a quality 450-500 watt should be able to handle it fine.

though if you plan to crossfire go for a 650-750 watt unit.

Personally I would recommend a 750Watt psu. i know its a bit overkill but it would be operating in peak efficiency and its gives you headroom. Why but a just powerful enough psu then have to upgrade it later on.
