Budget Microphones

Guest

I'm thinking about beginning youtube with 3d modeling, game reviews, and maybe gaming (only if people actually watch)

I think the modmic is great but $50 for a little mic like that is ridiculous are there any better alternatives for around $30? I use a Creative live ziicam mic, which isn't very good mostly because my keyboard (not even mechanical) and mouse can be heard very loudly.

EDIT: also I will use it for skype

zalman clip on but it'll still pick up background and you have to boost it to get it loud enough. If you're looking for an easy solution then the only thing is the modmic.

I doubt that would be better than what I have, desktop mics are totally fine

desktop mics will absolutely pick up background. And the cheapest good desktop mic is the blue snowball at $50 anyway. $50 for a good mic really isn't that much.
