Hi, after building my first PC I've ran into a couple of issues over the past few months and although I think its the motherboard I can't quite tell (Or even know what to do if it is the motherboard.

First I had disk read errors after the first 2 weeks which would happen within about 10 minutes of me using the PC. I fixed this by turning off connections to the motherboard such as few USB's connected, no audio connected and what I am doing now is turning off LAN in the BIOS. Since I did this there has been no Disk Read Errors whatsoever (I have no idea why this worked though)

Now a few weeks later my computer randomly freezes with stuttering audio after a few hours, but if I'm just browsing the internet it sometimes doesn't freeze at all. However if I play any game no matter how easy it is to run my computer will freeze within an hour, I looked at temperatures and the seem to be at high 50s in the harder games which shouldn't be too bad but it freezes anyway. I have no idea where these problems are coming from so any assistance would be great.

My system is : AMD FX 6300

                       Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

                       AMD Radeon 270X Sapphire

                       PSU Corsair CX600

what exactly happens when it "freezes"? does it crash?, does the mouse/num lock button/light still respond? do the drives still spin? (just listen to them) and check wheter the hdd activity led is doing anything

The whole screen will just stop on whatever is on there with the audio stuttering on whatever the last noise was for about 20 seconds. After this the audio will stop and the but the screen stays exactly the same from when it froze. The HDD light the last time it happened was not showing anything and the mouse and keyboard did not respond at all, not even the lights (Although if they were on at the time of the freeze they will remain on.

uninstall the HD audio driver form the device manager.

disable/uninstall the amd hdmi audio driver

( control panel/sound ) make sure it points to what you are using ( on board )?

reboot. don't let window reinstall these.

Gave it a go but didn't make a difference
