So i have this opportunity to buy an iphone but i want to make sure that the IMEI is not blacklisted...

 

how can i do that?

 

I cant call the operator since its not from my country.. any thoughts?

i would not buy it if it is still under contract, the issue is that if you buy the phone in full working order, the seller can then call there network, report it lost or stolen, get a replacement brand new phone and the IMEI on the one you purchased would be blocked.

So unless you are friends with the person you're buying it off and you know 100% this won't happent, don't bother.
