Hey guys ,

Im new to the forum and I want to build my own pc because I don't like the OEM stuff.

Now I need help for the CPU and Case.

In my choice are 2 CPU's

The Intel Core I3 4160 and the Pentium G3258.

In Germany the Core i3 costs about 100€ , the Pentium 78€.

What would be the better choice for gaming ?

For an Motherboard i will go with a MSI Z87-G55 because it is really cheap in Germany , has tons of features and i like the UEFI :D

Now for the Case ,

http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/CoolerMaster-N400-mit-Sichtfenster-Midi-Tower-ohne-Netzteil-schwarz_916999.html

The CoolerMaster N400 costs abouts 45€

http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/Corsair-Carbide-Series-SPEC-01-mit-Sichtfenster-Midi-Tower-ohne-Netzteil-_962207.html

And here the Corsair. It costs about 55€ . Are there differences in build quality ? I like the style of both cases but i think i like the corsair more :)

Now i will take 8 GB DDR 3 1600MHZ Ram , 1 TB WD Blue Hard Drive , Samsung Optical Drive ,

For the PSU i have 2 choices ..

http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/450-Watt-be-quiet--System-Power-7-Bulk-Non-Modular-80--Silver_822188.html

and

http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/450-Watt-CoolerMaster-G450M-Modular_937511.html

What will be better here ?

And for the GPU i want to go with the XFX Radeon R9 270 DD .

Maybe there are other suggestions for the GPU :D

My Budget is limmited .

I hope you can help me guys ! :D

Greetings

Michael

wow only 100EUR for the i3? I have them for 122 (slovenia). Anyways, I would get the i3 and a h81 mobo (if it fits your needs) and then later upgrade to an i5/i7.

The cases are both pretty the same

For the psu, I reccommend the corsair tho bequit is an underrated company (they say)

Also, what are you playing?

Right.

Both of those CPUs have very, very similar performance.  If you're just gaming I would get the G3258.  If you need the hyper threaded extra cores, you could get the i3.

Get the Corsair case, much better quality.

PSU, either are fine.

Hyperthreaded?

i3?

MFW.

Hmm, I actually didn't look at the specs of that chip, I honestly guessed.  Usually i3s have 2 physical cores and have 2 virtual ones, but I could be wrong.

No, they have 2 cores, 4 threads. I know, I have the i3-4330. The Pentiums/Celerons have 2 threads

Hey ,

Thanks for answering :D

So I'll take the Core I3 with the BeQuiet and the Corsair Case .

This is the GPU  i'd like to go with : http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/2048MB-XFX-Radeon-R9-270-Double-Dissipation-Boost-Edition-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-_949725.html

Is it worth the 10€ extra for 270X ?

For example this : http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/2048MB-PowerColor-Radeon-R9-270X-PCS--Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_943784.html

Now the Sapphire Edition ( 4GB ) is really expensive here . About 180€ . I think it isn't worth it.

For the R9 280 are 18€ extra ( R9 270X 150€ )

What will be here the best solution here ?

I want to play Need for Speed , Minecraft , Battlefield 3 , Garry's Mod , Mafia 2 , Euro Truck Simulator 2 and BeamNG .

Especially for bf3, you need a good gpu, not cpu.

I suggest going with i3, h81 mobo and the rest of your build and then take the best gpu you can get for the money left over

I've read H81 isn't really good because it has only PCIE x16 2,0 ... All other Chipset have 3.0 .

Besides that H81 costs in Germany about 50€ . The MSI Z87-G55 i want to buy costs about 78€ and its better for Future Upgrades :)

Yeah later a better processor like I5 or I7 and better GPU and PSU. For now i don't need more :)

Then I suggest getting a 500w psu, maybe those 450w won't be enough and I personally think that it's better spending a bit more now than buying a new part later for a slight upgrade, i3, h81 (or your mobo as you wish, I think its a waste of money you could give to the gpu (which will increase performance, unlike the mobob)) and the best gpu you can afford

So will be this PSU good ? http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/500-Watt-be-quiet--System-Power-7-Bulk-Non-Modular-80--Silver_822190.html

Edit :

Look even a lower Chipset costs more than my go to choice :

Z87 : http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/MSI-Z87-G55-Intel-Z87-So-1150-Dual-Channel-DDR3-ATX-Retail_948894.html

H97 : http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/MSI-H97-PC-Mate-Intel-H97-So-1150-Dual-Channel-DDR3-ATX-Retail_961283.html

The H97 has a worse Soundchip and less expantion options than the z87

BeQuiet is leader in Europe :)

So i'll get the Z87 . And the GPU i will look . Maybe the R9 270X or the R9 280 . Depends on how much money i will get :)

An Core I5 is not an option in Germany because the prices jumped up to 180€ ( for the 4440 ) .

The 4690K  costs about 250 € ( ! )

Even the i7 4790k costs "only" 290€

Thank you for your help
