new computer lan/wifi not working

Go to solution Solved by littlepigboy5,

My friend just bought a PC, http://www.amazon.com/CybertronPC-Borg-709-GMBG70934BL-Desktop-Blue/dp/B00NC06ZF4 , and can't connect to the internet.  When he was setting up windows his pc found his wifi network, but it said that it was unable to connect and that he should use ethernet.  So he grabbed a netgear powerline adapter, which is not plugged into any surge protectors, and he used it for his xbox for years so that isnt the problem, and it worked long enough for him to download league of legends, then it didn't work.  There isn't a red x or yellow triangle on the ehternet icon in windows 8.1, it just doesn't work.  He has tried unplugging the router, aurus router btw, unplugging the powerline adapter, resetting stuff.  nothing is working.  help me

problem fixed sorry
