Computer won't boot without usb inserted

Go to solution Solved by Mujteba,

I've recently installed windows 8.1 on a ssd I got for christmas. I formatted my hdd, and left it in my computer.

Nevertheless, I got two problems.

1. When I turn on my computer without the usb (the one I installed windows 8.1 from) inserted, it won't boot at all. Instead it gives me this message: http://imgur.com/Mnnv44i

2. When I turn on my computer with the usb inserted, it ask me if I wanna open windows 7 or windows 8.1. I formatted the hdd where I had windows 7 installed, so that shouldn't happen?

Hope I can get some help  :)

1. If you don't mind clean installing again; unplug all sata devices and put your ssd into sata port 1. Then reinstall and should be good. Once done, now you can plug you hdd back in.

2. The bootmanager is on the ssd so it doesn't matter that the hdd is formatted.

Thank you, but I still don't get, why is it able to detect windows 7, when there is no sign of it?

It's not that it is detecting win7 but rather that the boot manager (which is on the win8.1 drive) has both windows 7 and 8.1 in it's list.
