Receiving same text repeatedly

I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the problem is that all of a sudden it has began receiving the same message repeatly and it I very annoying. Does anyone know the reason for this or fix? Its a pretty new sim card and it never happened before so I don't think its that and the signal where I am is excellent so I don't know what it could be.
