So my primary drive, a WD 500GB black is about to die any day now. It has been on 24/7 for the past 9 years and through many windows upgrades. Anyways now that I'm in a position where I need a new primary drive. Was thinking of getting a SSD as my primary/boot drive to replace the WD Black Just so you guys know, I have 3tb of extra storage so thats not a worry. I was hoping to get advice on a good SSD choice. I don't really know what size or manufacture or really anything.

Thx in advance and sorry if I have left out a detail, do ask and I'll answer to the best of my ability and knowledge.

Really, depending on budget you need to look no further than a Samsung 840 evo or 850 pro.

There are some marginal performance improvements with the 850, but it really depends on the price where you live.

Living in Germany currently but I am going to back to Canada for a week in Feburary, so Canada is also a place where I can buy. I'm originally from Canada so I know where to go.
