So just a month ago i bought this headset. after using it for this length of time i have tried everything. 2 speakers/4 speakers/5.1/7.1. all of it to no avail. i bought the headset for playing counter-strike at a fairly high level and i need it to perform for positional audio. the only way i can use it for positional audio is if i plug it into my PC and use it as a stereo headset. but when i do this the audio quality is very poor. so i was wondering whether i should just discard the USB sound card that it came with and buy an internal sound card and use it that way. and help appreciated on what i should do. thanks

Also if anyone could recommend me a sound card for around the $30-50 price range that is optimized for positional audio i would be very grateful.

i have the same freakin' problem with my pc 363d; don't even think about contacting sennheiser they just say: if it works on another pc, not our problem. appereantly a lot of people have issues with the usb soundcard, it's just waiting to microsoft get's a patch or something to make it work again. i personally have a good soundcard onboard of my rampage 4 formula. But yes go with a soundcard if you don't have a descend one
