All are good graphics cards, have a look around at the benchamarks of the different cards, they should all be very very similar though

I personally like the G1 gaming. One of the cheapest available and looks nice and has amazing temps. My 280 never goes above 70C with 40% fan speed.

If the G1 is unavailable then I would go with the Asus Strix.

i got the G1 and couldn't be any more pleased with it, but the length of it is kinda a drawback but i have a big enough case. plus the extra money you spend on it means your getting a cherry picked gpu chip. but if you can't wait for the G1 i'd go for the strix.

What about the msi? Or evga? Are they no good ?

Yes they are just as good (the manufacturer doesn't really matter too much in my experience).

I just recommended the Asus Strix since I like the look of it and it has that 0db fan feature (which I believe the MSI also has).

Is it true that msi had coil whine issues? Can I fix that ?

What sbout the coil whine issue msi has ? Can you fix that

I believe that it can't be fixed, and you shouldn't try, just RMA it :)

Also, if you plan on overclocking get MSI, not Asus, since Asus has one 8 pin connector while MSI has one 8 pin and one 6 pin, and that should allow for better OC'ing :)

Also, i don't have any experience with EVGA since it's not available here, atleast not anymore, but i hear it has awesome customer service :) Just be sure to get ACX 2.0 :D

If you get coil whine there is no way to fix it other than to RMA the card.

It's basically luck of the draw.

What's rma? I don't really care much about over clocking coz I'll run 2 sli in the future but eh. Well... How can I ever fix the coil whine? It will always be there and annoying ?

It's when you return it to a manufacturer because the part (be it a mobo, gpu, cpu...) is not functioning properly. Well, then MSI and Asus are pretty similar, except the looks :) Now, do you want the blackness of Asus or black and red from MSI O.o

I wanna avoid coil whine and rma it. Well if I'm buying mine at frys , can't I just simply rerun it to them lol. Anyway, I doubt asus will have as higher chance as msi getting coil whine?

I think msi has better looks with the led logo, but asus strix look is very sleek and back plate.

Well, it depends on your luck. You can get coil whine even on Strix... If you like MSI, then get it, it looks quite nice :) And MSI will probably release a backplate for it soon enough :)

Also, what i like to do is leave options for myself, such as overclocking the card, so you might think about that. If you don't want to do it now, you might do it in a few years so you could get more performance out of it, since OC'ed 970 can potentially equal stock 980 :D

Then I would suggest getting the MSI since they will probably develop a backplate for it in time.

Coil whine is something that can exist on ANY graphics card.  Heck, even one of my G1 Gaming 970s has slight coil whine when it's under load.
