ok so for the second time windows has somehow locked my drive! I was having problems with my overclock and reset it to default, rebooted and bam its all stuck. Anyhow i tried reinstalling windows on a different drive and its the wrong format. Tried on another drive and then it says files are missing somehow. (i have 8.1 genuine disc) so im screwed at the moment and dont know what to do. So is there anyway i can change thr format of the drive (ssd) and install windows 8 another way?

Hey,

I just created a windows 8.1 usb drive install media using the Windows utility.

Anyway I left the drive plugged in and after the next reboot got the drive locked message, took me a few minutes to figure I still had the USB plugged in.

Have you got any bootable media available for the OS to get confused by ?

Ed
