Use the Google Now launcher. That should solve your problem.

I've been using Android Lollipop on my Nexus 7 2013 for some time now. However I keep noticing that people on YouTube have the drawer that pops out. I thought this was a android lollipop feature but I don't seem to have it. Is there a way to get this?
