What I am doing:

I recently obtained the Asus z97-pro motherboard and i am wanting to change its colour. I am building a system  for myself (finally) and i am planning on going with either a white and black or UV colour theme for the build. for components i have (or plan on getting the fallowing):

-Corsair 760t (white)

-Asus z97-pro (as stated:p)

-corsair RM series 1000 watt power supply

-corsair Vengeance Pro 16gb (1600MHz)

-Samsung 240gb 840 ssd

-i7 4790k

-Gigabyte GV-N970G1

 

What I need help with:

Because of the colour scheme i am wanting to go with, i am wanting to change the colour of the heat sinks on the VRM and the Chip-set. Is there any way to do this? (If possible, without voiding warranty)  Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Well in order to change the color of the heatsinks you'll have to paint them in some fashion, i.e good ole spray paint or plasti dip. This also means you'll have to remove them from the board to paint them since you really dont wanna get paint on your motherboard. And that 1000w PSU is way over kill for one 970 and the rest of your build. Its not bad to have more power available from your PSU but save yourself some money and get a nice 750w. Also, if you have the money to make the jump to x99 then you should look into the Asus x99 deluxe motherboard.

I was given the power supply so i wasn't going to complain . I was thinking of going x99 but it was way out of my price range. I know i will have to remove them and paint them but what paint sound i use? Is there something not permanent?
