Hi, i would like to know if a good GPU is of any use assuming the person wishes to do absolutly no gaming. All i can think of that might utilise a good GPU is multiple screens at high defenition and folding at home. All the others seem to be rather specific programs which might use a good GPU to run faster but can run without issues with integrated graphics. Im thinking something like for ex: intel HD graphics 4400.

The question is do i need a GPU if i will do no gaming ?

NO. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. At most a non gamer or someone who works with production of some sort should get something like a gtx 730, which is massively overpriced for what it does. Better to get something with hd4600 or better.

Depends what you're doing. If you're just using the PC for general stuff, you don't need one (provided your CPU/mobo has a display output. Different GPUs can help for things like rendering and multiple monitors, but it doesn't sound like you'll need one.

Speaking or reading peoples post, try reading mine again. I did multi monitor on hd4600 flawlessly. So at most, again a gtx 730 would be the most I could recommend for someone WHO IS A NON GAMER OR WORK WITH PRODUCTION

THE GTX 730 AND 720 DONT exist, their is a gt 720 and 730 but y would you recommend such a bad video card that is overpriced

EDIT: he could just get the 260x witch can run 4 monitors and is only $120

gt, gtx. like that actually matters. I would reccomend a bad video card because the point is not for gaming. And I don't think 4 monitors is needed in his case anyway. The gt 730 is half as much and will do the job required.
