I'm planning on buying the Sapphire Radeon R9 280.

Will the FSP Aurum S 500W be enough and is it a reliable PSU ?

It's a decent budget Gold unit that will power a 280x. If you haven't bought the PSU already, it would be helpful to know your budget for it and where you are buying from (links).

I'm buying from a local shop since most online stores won't ship to my country. And they are the sole distributor for sapphire graphics cards in my country.

I'll personally would go with the Aurum S if they are in the same price point, but that Hexa will do. The Corsair VS550 would be better; although, it's not that great either.

 

What country you are from, and can you provide us a list of units that is within your budget range?
