FX 6300 "Turbo"

I've had my pc a while now and just upgraded to a CM 212 evo for cpu cooling. I remember seeing somewhere that it can "turbo" up to 4.2 Ghz. Is this achieved by an option, perhaps in catalyst somewhere, or do I just overclock it to that manually?
