Gtx 970 PSU

Hello i am making a build for a friend and currently think its ok but i had someone tell me that 600w for a 970 isnt enough and that i will need at least 800w to use it properly. Can i get any feedback on any gtx 970 users or anything would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hes saying it wont throttle with 600w

It will all depend on what other hardware you have installed as well.
