GPU slot Placement

Hi,

I have a gigabyte z97x gaming-G1 motherboard.

I want to put a Noctua D15 cpu cooler on it, but I read on noctua's website that if I do that

then I can't put a GPU on the 16_1 slot and I'll need to move it to 16x2.

On Gigabyte's site it says it is recommended to put first on 16x1 and only if using multiple GPU's then use 16_2.

 

Thoughts anyone?

Is it critical? will the GPU lose power?

What would you do?

Ah ha,

So I get I have nothing to be alarmed about.

and the card with run as well on the 16_2 as it will on the 16_1.
