Help with motherboard problem.

Of I was putting a new fan in my friends computer. Fx6300 and some msi motherboard. I accidentally plugged the 3 pin header into a jfp2 connector. I took it out. Now the computer will boot but there is no display on the monitor. Also I can turn the pc on but not off with the power button.

RMA the motherboard if you can just to be sure, because it can seriously mess shit up in the future
