In pretty much any cpu intensive game yes, I would reccomend an 8320, 8350, i5 4460, i5 4590, i5 4690k

Yes.

I'd suggest an i5 4690 or 4690K.

I am using a 8320 with my 970, but if you have more money I recommend an i5 4690.
