Hi everyone! :)

Ok so heres what I got now.

Asus Strix 970

850w psu from cooler master

512gb ssd

4790k and 3690x

Coming soon:

16 gb mem

x61 kraken

I had a weird chance of buying the 3690x for the same price as the 4790k so I just mindlessly did it. Anyway I need some advice on where to go from this point. Buy mobo for 3690x and sell the 4790k or do the opposite.

And will my other components be compatible with a x79-up4?

I'd sell the 3690x and get a 4790K, that way you don't have to do shit with re-installing/re-activating windows due to a new mobo.

Get the X79 mobo (cheap one), that extreme edition cpu still packs a punch, also all your components are compatible to that X79
