Coil whine

Just a question about coil whine... Is there any way to diminish it?

Depends on the coil. If its the cheaper style that actually looks like a coil(a ring with wire wrapped around it), then you can put resin/glue on it. If its the little box/square style, then not really. If you are overclocked, then lowering your OC will help.

I've found that limiting the FPS in a game stopped the coil whine in my 770.  Any time the GPU pushes more than 400fps is when the whine starts so it really only happens in game menus
