AD500X + Mic or HyperX cloud

monopolyman
Go to solution Solved by Lays,

HD518 would probably be a better option with the modmic, better for those types of music than the 500x IMO.

So right now I find myself in quite the pickle. My TB X12's broke and I need new headphones and a mic. Right now I'm deciding whether I want to go the more frugal route or the higher quality route. If I do go the higher-quality route I'll probably pick up the Q701's. However I'm not sure what I should do if I go the cheaper route.

For gaming and listening to my music (mostly electronic and hop-hop/rap) which would be the better option, AD500X or HyperX cloud?

Note: I plan on using a powered mixer, so impedance shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the recommendation. I never really considered Sennhesier but they look pretty good based on the Freq response and reviews.

Yeah for sure, they have a bit more bass than the 500x and a tad bit less treble and an overall flatter freq response.
