HP Microserver with IPCameras

I have a Hp microserver nl54 and 2 times 640x480 resolution cameras and 1times 720p currently the cameras are going through wifi but i intend to use powerline adapters for a more reliable connection. However, it seems i cant get as crisp quality on the server as on my i5 laptop. I assume its becouse of the i5 have a built in gpu right? So if I buy a cheap graphics card to the microserver that should do the job? And it is matter what type of graphics card i buy for it ? would a nvidia 9600gt do the job? any recommendations?
