A little help please!

Go to solution Solved by Samfisher,

So more phases is better? Or otherwise will i be fine with 4 phases?

You will be fine with 4 Phases.  Like the above though, I prefer slightly more premium motherboard brands than Asrock, although Asrock is part of Asus.

Hello! I will buy an i5 4690k cpu and i'm wondering what mobo to get..

I'm thinking about Asrock z97 anniversary. So i'm wondering what  "4 Power Phase design" means ?

Will this motherboard work with i5 4690k?

I wont overclock too high, maybe 3,7GHz or something like this ...

Why should you oc to 37 it already boosts to 39. But yes the mobo will work with cpu.

CPU: Intel I7 4790K 4.8 Ghz || Mobo: ASUS ROG Maximus Hero 6 Z87 || Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB 1600 Mhz || GPU: ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX || Storage: 2 x SSD Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB RAID 0 HDD Western Digital 1 TB Black || PSU: Corsair AX 860 watt || Cooling: 2 x AF 140mm (front), 2 AF120 Blue LED (bottom and back), 2 SP120 (top on radiator) ||  CPU cooler: Corsair H100i GTX || Case: Corsair obsidian 750D <3 <3 <3

The 4690K already boosts past 3.7GHz  on it's own :P

Four phase just means the power delivery goes through 4 different "phases" capacitors and whatnot before being delivered to components for more stable power.

Ok, dont worry man, ASUS is a good brand. So go with a ROG class bord. And use AI suite to OC.
