Posted November 26, 2014 Hello I'm having some issues with a Seagate barracuda 7200.11 with firmware SD35. The problem is that it kills the computer when plugged in. I don't know what to do but I researched it and it said to check the tvs diodes with a multimeter and take the diode off of it gives a 0. Both of the tvs diodes are giving off higher than zero. Anybody have any ideas of what to do?

Posted November 26, 2014 That doesn't help me get the data off it. True. Maybe find a data recovery specialist in your area. That could help.

Posted November 26, 2014 No actually knows how to fix it? The HDD's dying. You can try opening up the HDD for repair, but we don't know exactly what's happening to the HDD. Do you hear any clicking sounds? Better yet, just send it in for data recovery. #SAMSUNG "provided us 4 1tb ssds so we could run the whole site off solid state." - LinusTech #GALAXY #ATIV
