Which temperature is right ?

so after thinking that my 8350 is just really hot ive been doing some reasearch into FX temps and it seems that HWmonitor dosent like the way AMD calculates Temps, so i ran a quick and dirty (30min ) pass of prime 95 with AMD overdrive, Core Temp , and HWmonitor open ,

which one is right , ?

 

 

By looking at it i think that AMD over drive is right aswell as Core temp , because Core temp says 42c and AMD overdrive says 28c (thermal margin ) so 42+28= 70c ( 70c is the max for FX chips i believe ?

anyone got any advice as to what i should believe ?

Holy crap, we both have the same motherboard and the same problem. I don't know which temperature to go by, but I always go by the HWMonitor higher temp just to be safe, but I have the feeling that the HWMonitor temp is reading a Socket Temp that is on the motherboard. Not sure though.

No AMD hate, just bad experiences

 

My guess would be to believe the highest reported temp, unless it's outrageous like 10000000000000 °C. Then you have a broken temp sensor

This messed with me with my A10: take the thermal margin of the temp in Overdrive and subtract it from your max temp.
