SSD Writes problem

Andrew48

Hello!
I installed crystaldiskinfo to check it out and i noticed that i have written 1.99TB on my samsung 830 120GB ssd! I know SSDs have a maximum write limit. I want to know how much longer will my SSD last before i have to replace it. Is ~2TB of writes much? I also disabled the fast boot option of windows 8 ( I didn't needed it anyways) because i found out it was writing big amount of data every time i shut down my laptop. Also I would like to know if there are any tweaks i can make to reduce writes. Thanks!

Taking your total writes and dividing by your power on time gives roughly 25GB of writes per day.

You'll be fine, even with that many writes your SSD will probably last 10+ years, and I'd be surprised if anyone used the same SSD for that long. :P

I sure wont keep this SSD for more than 10 years but I want to be safe. Thank you!
